In our travel safety roundup for November we cover elections, the extension of Brexit and weather changes around the world.

Political polls and other dramas

The political and economic miasma that is Brexit has been delayed from the earlier expected date of October 31st to the new year.

An election is now due to be held in December which could alter the outcome of the process considerably.

The United Kingdom could still depart this year, while 2020 could bring a no-deal departure or a cancellation of the process altogether.

Whichever side of the debate you are on, the prolonged process and ongoing uncertainty is harming the economy and confidence in the country’s political system in general.

November is also set to see elections in Belarus, Papua New Guinea, Spain, Sri Lanka and Uruguay among others.
