Starling Safety is a web travel safety service containing detailed safety information, facts, figures, analysis and advice on over 200 countries and territories around the world.
It also contains a collaborative feature whereby our registered users share safety advice and travel guidance on specific locations.
It can be advice on the roads, crime, climate or culture, as well as updates on a breaking-news situation or warnings of planned events ahead, so long as it helps other users plan their travel safely.
The site contains over 20,000 data points covering everything that could affect your travel, including crime rates, road conditions, climate considerations, natural disasters, diseases, hospital standards, politics, economics, cultural norms and a range of other issues.
If you know a country, please leave comments, advice and other information here or on the relevant country page to help other people travel, work and live in these countries more safely.
If you upload three pieces of information to the site, you will be rewarded with access to our risk mitigation advice, compiled for each country by our former Special Forces team members.
This is our way of saying ‘thank you’ for contributing to the community. The more we all share, the more everyone will benefit.
